Random Walks, Branching, and Random Geometry

July 15 — 22, 2022, St. Petersburg, Russia

Organizers

Leonhard Euler International Mathematical Institute in St. Petersburg and Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which focuses on fundamental research in pure mathematics and mathematical models of theoretical physics.

Description

The workshop will focus on the analysis of models coming from an interplay between randomness and geometry: branching Brownian motion, branching random walks, random point processes, random polytopes, zeros of random polynomials, random networks and geometric random graphs.

Objectives

The workshop aims to bring together experts in these focus areas and connect them with younger participants to promote learning and an exchange of new ideas and methods.
