This 2022 ICM satellite conference Operator algebras, dynamics and groups will take place at the University of Copenhagen in the capital of Denmark. Denmark and St Petersburg, the venue of the ICM, both face the Baltic sea — from opposite ends, and are both blessed with the long and beautiful summer evenings of the North making Copenhagen a natural location for an ICM satellite event. The conference will bring together top researchers as well as early-career mathematicians in all areas of operator algebras with emphasis on applications to dynamics and group actions. The goal of the conference is to highlight the current status of the many directions that the field of operator algebras has taken, and to look at future challenges in the field. The 4-day long conference will start early Friday July 1 and end late afternoon of Monday July 4. The conference program will include around 25 talks. It is organized by the operator algebra group at the University of Copenhagen assisted by an international scientific advisory board. The 2022 ICM in St Petersburg starts on July 6. There are convenient travel connections between Copenhagen and St Petersburg.
